One year ago today I received the news that I had cancer.  Little did I know how that would change my life, and the lessons I would learn.

I learned that I can endure torturous pain and still keep a sense of humor.

 It's hard to believe that it's been four months since I've posted!  I'm doing extremely well physically after being declared cancer-free and having lost a lot of weight.  Appreciating life more fully and taking very good care of myself and my absolutely wonderfully amazing husband.

31 DAYS UNTIL THE DAYTONA 500 AND OFFICIAL START OF THE NASCAR SEASON!!

G. and I were married this past Saturday!  We had a short honeymoon, but the honeymoon isn't over yet!!

The wedding ceremony and reception went almost perfectly.  Everyone had a fantastic time, and we received many comments on how it was the most unique and best wedding they've ever attended.  So, all the planning and hard work paid off ~~ we gave ( Read more... )

One week today and G. and I will be married! 

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm so grateful for the love and support of my family and true friends who stuck by my side when the going got tough, and that I am on the road to recovery!

Today begins my fourth week of cancer treatment.  This week is just radiation.  Next week is another go-around of chemotherapy.  If all goes well and there are no delays in treatment, I should be completely done with both chemo and radiation on or about November 10th.

I'm having some pretty bad side effects.  I'm in pain 24/7.

It really does exist.

Over the past three weeks since I was diagnosed with cancer, it simply amazes me at the level of kindess that has been shown to me, not just by my family and friends, but strangers who don't know me from Adam or that I have this illness.
