We live one street corner away from a really nice park on the lake with a lakeside bike trail that runs through it. When our work is done (or close to it) we plan on celebrating by hitting the trail with our bikes. I think it's been about a year since we've gone bike riding.

This morning Ionel missed his bus to the train station, so, I ended up driving him there at 7:10 a.m. Since I was already out and about I finally went grocery shopping. I've been putting off grocery shopping this morning, sticking instead to homework, which sounds like the right thing to do, except... when I finally put down my laptop and got up with the intention to take a break and hit the store, I noticed piles of snow coming down outside and major wind gusts. The first car passed all required tests today and we got our first set of license plates. One down, one to go.

Today, I sent some photos of Corcodel to the lady who rescued him in Puerto Rico three years ago. When we adopted him, his records indicated that he had been found on the beach, alone. He was three months old. A note from the rescuer was included asking his potential new family to let her know how he is doing. I forgot about it until recently ( Read more... )

Tonight we are going to spend the evening with friends, some 20 minutes' drive from here. I like visiting them, I don't like being on the road on New Year's Eve for the obvious reasons.
