The street smells of fireworks. It's raining.
Today someone tried to call out of work because of the rain. She said she couldn't come in because she didn't own an umbrella and she would get wet. Is she the Wicked Witch of the West?

For the second time, someone stole the pumpkin right off my porch. They bypassed my neighbors three carved jack-o-lanterns and my pot of mums and stole my uncarved pumpkin.
I don't understand. Once I can write off as a fluke, but twice? Was it an overwhelming craving for pie? Cinderella on the loose? Is there some sort of squash liberation

The plane did not crash and I did not die. The flight back was over two hours late, but that did not kill me.
