Apparently, if you go by the submissions so far for the Lammys. Forty-five books in the Lesbian Romance category compared to just six in the Gay Romance category. Go Girls!

The Flintstones was probably the most influential TV program of my childhood. As I was born smack dab in the middle of the show's 6 year run, of course I don't remember the original broadcasts. AMLS finished at last!
Well, three months later I've finally finished reading As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann. "A Single Man" and actors' accents in films
So, I just watched the movie A Single Man (on blu-ray). It's quite an unusual film, but historically significant in a gay man's perceptions of 1962. There was also a lovely flashback to 1946.

Mini rant about review sites
I’m not going to name names here, but what’s with review sites of late? Is it just me or are other publishers and authors feeling like it’s easier to squeeze blood from a turnip than get a review site to review a book?
