It's 64 degrees here in New York. That's damn near a heat wave considering what we've been dealing with. Tomorrow the temps are supposed to drop again and I think we might get some more snow. This is the weekend that we have John's son Jamie with us. He is ESPECIALLY fond of Pizza. I know everyone likes it, but he can be bribed with it. I didn't have to though. I decided that I wanted him to see how pizza is made. Jamie is 23, but he has Downs Syndrome so lots of things are simply fascinating to him even at his advanced age.  I took out ( Read more... )

Recently, a live journal friend mentioned that he was going to get a haircut.  "afallenprince" has long beautiful hair, so it made me think of my son singing this cover song from the musical "HAIR". My son toured Germany with James Rado when he was younger and had a blast. . .

Just spoke with wackdaddy  's cousin. He got burned this week, from his knees down. He got first and second  degree burns when his boiler water hose exploded on him, both  legs & right foot. An ambulance  took him to Cornell Burn Center in Manhattan, where they said: "Oh, it's not that bad, COMPARED TO WHAT WE USUALLY SEE". However, we all know burns hurt, ( Read more... )

It's day 7. . . Nietzsche is playing along . . . somewhat.  He seems to be gifting wackdaddy with his compliance. Joins him in the bathroom, while John is showering in the morning. Day 6. . . Nietzsche, our 7 1/2 month old kitty is following through with his toilet training. At night, we limit his access to everything but our bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. That's plenty of room for him to roam, when he needs to. Sometimes, he manages to sleep all night. I especially appreciate that. He usually visits my side of the bed ( Read more... )
