Day 2 and all's well. Except for the hole.

I live in a terraced house, and earlier this year the old lady next door sold up and moved into sheltered accommodation. Her cheap-as-chips house was bought by a property developer who is now gutting it and preparing to instal 5 tenants at £100 a week or more each, and then will sit back and enjoy the proceeds

They know they're on shaky ground as they're obliged to let me know in advance of work under the Party Wall Act... and didn't (it's handy to know an architect at times like this). They said they'll come Saturday morning to fix it, so we'll see.

Nah, no need, not at this stage. They've fixed a time to come and do the work on Saturday morning, so we'll see!
