this weekend i went to waco and the dr. pepper museum. The first floor was interesting and focused, if unsurprising: descriptions of the discovery and subsequent refining of the dr. pepper formula by a creepy animatronic, a history of the bottling process replete with the actual machines through the eras, and a small bevy of hilarious merchandising ( Read more... )

through some confusing confluence, my place of employment often has free passes to sneak previews for popular films. now, these most often appear the day before said screening, and i am pretty much always working, not to mention the choice of films is usually mediocre at best. but today i came in to work to find a bunch of free passes for tuesday ( Read more... )

home was enjoyable. we ate polish in hamtramck, prime rib on christmas (with prime rib breakfast tacos the next day=score), and sushi in a haunted house. in east lansing i drank too much and demolished a chair. for christmas i got a lot of underwear, books, and money for a bicycle. picshas to come.
