One of the bummers about moving to Providence was leaving the Ann Arbor library. Spent much of yesterday waiting for babies to be born so that I could "participate in the delivery". Today was much better as I was able to multi task and do ultrasounds while waiting for babies to be born and I even got to do pretty much everything for the last delivery.

So, some updates. Thanks to the wonderful people at the Better Business Bureau, I am finally get a refund from LetsTalk.com. I would warn anyone away from using them. They're small print tactics and unbearable customer DisService department mean that any cost savings you get from them isn't worth it. I didn't actually expect the BBB to help, but ( Read more... )

I have spent a good portion of the last month arguing with LetsTalk.com, the company I bought our cell phones from. In January, I got a notice that I would be charged $300 for prematurely canceling the AT&T wireless contract I had. I just got off of a month in the ICU which involved call every 3rd night and lots of very sick and dying patients. I learned a lot and enjoyed huge parts of it, but after four weeks it can be kind of tiring. Spent the weekend before last in Phoenix, then Christmas in Toledo and now I'm back home. Kyrie is still in Toledo for a few more days. My return trip was not fun. I was supposed to get in to Boston at 10:30am, but due to cancellations and delays I didn't get in till after 6pm, then had to drive home and work an overnight shift before getting 5 ( Read more... )

and today, I was the nail. I had a tough shift where everyone seemed grumpy. I had one patient that everyone agreed needed to be admitted, but two services were arguing over who would take her, so she sat in the ED for several hours. Good morning :) I hate doing dishes and other chores. I enjoy sleeping in. I have a secret love of procrastination. But give me a cup of coffee and a radio playing NPR and things aren't so bad. Thank you NPR for allowing me to do the dishes.
