My parents came over to Seattle for the weekend.  We took them rock climbing at Stone Gardens, out to eat at Dad Watson's, out to the TheatreSports improv show, to church, and catamaranning out on lake Union.  It was really a pretty good visit, and they had more fun than they've ever had in Seattle, which makes me happy to hear.  I'm getting better ( Read more... )

Does anyone check Google News, or have the Top Stories in their customized Google homepage?  If so, do you notice that the top story links are often to the most inflammatory / reactionary news sources?  The ones that make the most out of the least?  I find I have to dig to get the "real" story, and it's a little troublesome to me.

My truck is still driveable, and I have every intention of getting her fixed again.  With luck, it won't even cost that much.  Isaac's Mustang, on the other hand, is essentially totalled.  There will likely not be any insurance money coming his way, which is ridiculous, but another story.  I feel terrible that it happened to him.  But these are all ( Read more... )
