Stop picking on Bill from "True Blood"!
One thing I've noticed about True Blood that annoys me is the glorification of Eric at Bill's expense, on and off the show. Bill is dismissed as a wimp and a dullard and so forth, in contrast to Eric's "strength" and godly perfection.

Bony Ass is now Frau Ford. Saw an announcement on Huffingtonpost.com. Evidently they were married at the governor of New Mexico's mansion and the ceremony was presided over by the governor himself.

I subscribe to "TV Guide," and on the table of contents page of next week's issue, there was a series of pictures from the tribute to Mike Nichols that AFI apparently threw recently. And once again, the people in charge all but had their lips glued to Harrison Ford's pen...er, I mean, butt.

My thoughts on ESB's 30th anniversary
I love ESB. Love it to pieces. I think it's the best of the SW movies, and also my favorite (which are two different things). But I also think it's horribly overrated and I really cannot stand how it is used as a bludgeon against all the other SW movies. Yes, it is possible to love something and still think it's overrated.

My favorite Anakin/Padmé fic: "Freefall"
DarthBreezy wrote a wonderful two-part fanfic some years ago which centered on Anakin and Padmé's wedding night. It's very well-written and takes into account the events surrounding their secret wedding. And of course they "do it," but the mentions of it are tasteful and discreet.

"The Godfather" -- a movie you can't refuse
After finding out that my roommate, Karyn, had never seen The Godfather, I resolved to rectify that problem. She'd heard of the movie, of course -- who hasn't? -- but she'd never seen it, and didn't know anything about the story.
