[ A certain youkai in a simple green dress is standing off to the side, just watching everyone having a good time. Someone's even done her makeup and nails, and her hair is back in a long braid, though it won't be hard to recognize the tall Chinese redhead in the corner.

She's sort-of chaperoning, but she is mostly watching out for those whom she recognizes, swaying to the music when it plays, nursing a cup of punch and just being idle otherwise.

If you catch her attention, she'll be quite friendly, though! It looks as if the youkai's in a good mood tonight. ]

[ Meiling staggers a bit and does her best to balance her punch. No spilling!! ]

And Meiling doesn't show it, opting to turn and rest her hands on her friend's shoulders. ] Then just leave it to me! I'll make sure nothing ruins this night so long as I can help it! Okay! [ She steps back. ] I'll go. [ Maybe she would normally trail off on it, but she sounds certain of it. Meiling gestures over her shoulder. ] I don't think you'll have a problem finding me, but I'll wait for you. [ She doubts she'll be dancing with anyone else. ]
