[ A certain youkai in a simple green dress is standing off to the side, just watching everyone having a good time. Someone's even done her makeup and nails, and her hair is back in a long braid, though it won't be hard to recognize the tall Chinese redhead in the corner.

She's sort-of chaperoning, but she is mostly watching out for those whom she recognizes, swaying to the music when it plays, nursing a cup of punch and just being idle otherwise.

If you catch her attention, she'll be quite friendly, though! It looks as if the youkai's in a good mood tonight. ]

Oh, Meiling! Hello!

[Lyon's looking rather happy tonight, all dressed up in a pretty pink dress with a big flower on the front. She's also wearing a cute little corsage to match.]

Yeah! I'm having a really good time. I've never been to a party like this before, so it's a lot of fun.

Good! I was here earlier in the year for what they called a "Prom", but it was a lot fancier. The atmosphere today feels a little less tense.

Oh, I remember that. But you're right, this is a lot more easygoing.

I wonder why, though. Maybe it's the time of year? [ Or it could be the spiked punch. ]

Usually you'd associate this kind of mood with spring, though.
