The trip has been sort of fun, but I'm at a point in my life where a week with my parents isn't my dream vacation.  I actually haven't been in the water more than a few minutes, but we just got boogie boards, so that should be fun.

In other news, my cousin PJ's daughter Jordan was born last night. Things went well as far as I can gather right now.

We've arrived safely in Port Aranas, TX. We'll be here until Friday. Hopefully I'll have time to give more details tomorrow.

I'm back in Carlsbad. If I didn't get to tell everyone, it was great seeing so many of you this weekend and I had a great time. Now I'm off to Texas tomorrow :S

Last night I decided I'm going camping in the Gila tonight. We should be leaving around noon today but I'm not sure when we'll be back Sunday. I don't like short notice, but this he last time I'll be able to hang out with Daniel since he's going back to Brazil as soon as the semester ends. A little spontaneity is probably good for me anyway.

Our graphic design club just showed Helvetica and I was very impressed. I assumed most of the interviews would consist of designers praising the typeface, but views ranged from Helvetica being essentially perfect to it representing faceless corporate culture and having ties to the Vietnam and current wars military conflicts.
