there is this one woman, one of the regulars, with short grey hair and a very petite little body. she is extremely friendly, and nice, and crazy. come to think of it, she kind of reminds me of my mom. a few nights a week she stays until five minutes after closing, and we have to shoo her out ( Read more... )

a girl just called the circulation desk to see if she needed to reserve an online document. she was confused because she didn't think other people could access it at the same time as she was accessing it.

"um, well, what if other people want to check it out while i've got it?"

ok people... I went up to shelve only to find some sort of sand like substance on the floor of one of the elevators.... Molly checked it out and it's exactly what I thought it was..... kitty litter.... but why in the lbrary of all places... that's soooo nasty

Um...I'll be starting ucsc this fall and if anyone could give me any info or special tips about getting my foot in the door as a library student worker, that would be killer. It's a job I'm actually looking forward to getting!
