I have twelve postcards of Hyderabad. One for my dad, one for Jennifer, ten available. First ten posters get sent a postcard if they email me their address.

In Hyderabad, quickie drive-by post from my host doctor's flat (pirating off some local open network). Relatively easy trip, even got some sleep last night, weather is beautiful, air quality is good for developing world.

More later; hopefully I'll get some downtime this evening to try to compose something more detailed.

Well, OK, just had to use that title so I could have an umlaut. Am posting this from the Lufthansa lounge, where I'm passing 3.5hr before my flight. German keyboard is taking some getting used to, but at least they have free computers, and my name just got called for the showers. Next stop, India!

Yes, haven't posted in a while. Haven't had much to say -- after graduating, basically spent 2-3 weeks hanging around, preparing and/or consuming tasty edibles/intoxicants, vaguely preparing for my India trip, and starting my way through Morrowind. As of 2PM today, I have turned in my ID and my pager and am officially, at long last, Done With School. Official diploma still not till May, but the graduation paperwork is certified. It's now off to Milwaukee and beyond for my final residency, then home to my parents' with Jennifer for a bit of holiday break ( Read more... )

Flight to San Diego at 830AM today. Left the house at 630AM to find that my car wouldn't start, and could not be jumped. One of the things that's helped me with my residency travel is borrowing my sister's Very Expensive GPS Unit. I hide this in the center armrest of my car. I just went to pack it in my bag for my next trip, and lo and behold, it's gone. Cannot be found anywhere in the apartment or car, and Jennifer hasn't seen it ( Read more... )
