Andy and I have been watching Battlestar Galactica (season 1, although he's seen all of it and I'm only just catching up)... and it reminded me of a movie that I can remember very little of, and of course I can't remember the name

Well, the big one was Firefly. I never saw it, so not sure what they fought, but that was the REALLY REALLY OMG "You aren't a geek unless you see it!".

Wing Commander (based on a video game)
All the Star Wars movies.
Men in Black (turned into a Cartoon, based off a comic.)
Lost in Space (based of an old TV show.)
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (based on book, radio, and previous movie)

Galaxy Quest (Movie about Tim Taylor as an actor on a Star Trek like show that is shanghaied by Aliens to captain their ship and save their race. Hijinx ensue.)
