Today's shoulder recovery milestones

So, so good. Still some added range needed to get into the fully extended version, but this...was...big ( Read more... )

Progress!!
But yeah, can be super frustrating when you just want to be back to "normal" and it seems to be taking a long time.

Keep it up my friend.

Frustrating, yes. But each layer of progress makes my day to day life more manageable. I can reach for things with my right hand now! :-) So normal is not here, but I so appreciate the changes that are happening. And honestly, it was a bit of a kick to work on overall fitness for other parts of my body too, so there are some silver linings.

This is my first experience with anything this slow. It's been a bit of a wake-up call.

Hah, yeah. Writing the progress down makes it feel more real and tangible, and I can go back and prove to myself that it's changing. That's a good thing. I wish it would just hurry up already though.

I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been familiar with using an exercise ball. It's really been helpful. And when my shoulder is good, I love yoga with a ball (sun salutations are awesome fun). There's something about the additional support that allows you to relax into poses so much more (if you're me, anyway).

I do, however, have to fight the dogs for my turn on it. Because surely all ball time is about them, right? :-)
