I finally found the time to complete this video, that I had been trying to make for Eser since October.

Saturday, I listened for the first time to the "Marian Cantatas & Arias", a CD with sacred works by Händel. This is a gorgeous recording. Swedish mezzosoprano Anne Sofie von Otter is at her best, and is wonderfully accompanied by the Musica Antiqua Köln, conducted by Reinhard Goebel. It was released in 1994.

Two days ago, there was a series with Ulrich Mühe on Arte, the French-German TV channel. I thought: here's an actor who's a star in Germany, and is almost totally unknown in France. I then searched his name on Wikipedia, and I was very surprised to read that he died on July 23, 2007. He was only 54 ( Read more... )
