I promised you questions, and so I will give you questions:

As said before, I love Sam with doorwings (heheh..they're 'sensitive') ;-), but I'm having a bit of a hard time envisioning him with them. Why exactly does he (and Sideswipe too?!) think they look silly? *hint hint art, plz?*

I'm a little confused as to how much time have passed during the fic. About 1 year, or so? With Sam having spent...about 4 months with the counterparts?
...What?...It helps me put the story in perspective ;-)

That's it so far, I think.

Oh yeah. One thing that's been bothering me was answered during this chapter; why Sam couldn't just 'download' the Cybertronian language.
You managed that really well. ^^

Or maybe it's just my English-translating skills that are lacking. It was this sentence that had me confused:

"There was just something hardwired in him that found the whole sensory array on a speedy bot just absolutely ridiculous, not even factoring in the redundancy of the entire setup. The fact that Boxy had lost what little respectable bulk he had to shaping the array was just corroboration in the multicore."

But some time before that Cliffjumper described doorwings as 'exotic'.

And thus I was slightly confused.

YOUR TRANSLATION SKILLS AREN'T LACKING! That sentence was just stupidly complex, because Sideswipe has difficulty balancing his translation of metaphors with what he wants to say. And also because while I couldn't see Sideswipe NOT harassing Sam about his doors, I didn't want it to come off as flirting.

Basically, Sideswipe things Chasebots with sensor arrays(doorwings) to be a silly idea, because they already have advanced input and processing abilities. Making them collect and process even MORE data is stupid.
And Boxy appearing so silly was just icing on the cake.

Yeah, he's kind of fond of Sam in that "wow, you're useless" kind of way. Cliffjumper doesn't have the experience dataset to understand that, because Cliffjumper isn't useless. So he just boils it all down to the doors being exotic.

I have pseudoscientific reasons, but the short answer is: He's not a smaller Bumblebee -- he's a smaller bot with doors the same size as BB's. Or bluntly put: for roughly the same reason Mudflap looks silly with doorwings. HE LOOKS LIKE A PIXIE/FAIRY THING (or he things so ( ... )

:D Glad you liked! I am working toward the whole GIEF MOAR part, it's just a little slow because I have almost EVERY AUTOBOT EVAR in Tennesse, and then Ratchet and Mikaela and wot back at the base.

I WOULD TOTALLY AGREE TO WRITE FOR AU COMIC SERIES. (I don't have the persistence to draw it myself lol). Fangirls would love me! I might take out the blatant Sam/Bee, but their BROMANCE would OFF THE CHARTS. :DDD
I might not have enuff explosions for bay to let me write the movies, though ;__;''

Jazz keeps hoping (vainly) that someday, things will be simple. You can't really blame him -- he's kinda like an eternal optimist.

Sam has these weird random moments of "FTS, ROCKS FALL, EVERYONE MEGATRON DIES ( ... )

Ah...I see. I suppose it will all be explained to Sam when Ratchet sits him down to tell him The Facts of (Mechanoid) Life.

Of course I want to see even more social upheaval. Isn't that the definition of drama?

And speaking of that, I can't wait to see how you handle Sam finally unlocking that memory of Judy being former S7. Somehow, I think that Ratchet's gonna have to be in charge of that. Maybe forcing it open and keeping Sam from reinstalling the block while Mikaela or Bumblebee (since they've been coming to the base or had other contact with those two, it make sense they'd know what REALLY happened that night by now) talk him through it all.

*grins*

The image of Sam!bot being restrained in the medbay while Mikaela sits on his chest and yells at him is an interesting one, at least.

I love your fic! Very few fics hit me like this one does. This is actually my second reading of it. Last Friday I read it straight though (to 5am >.< Alas.) then immediately had the urge to re-watch the movie, because a couple things that I believed you took from canon I did not remember. Sadly, getting the movie took a couple more days. (Darn you, library! Why must your copy of Transformers be checked-out?!) After I watched (and squee-ed) the movie, I had the overwhelming urge to RE-read your fic! This is rare for me. =D ( ... )
