Mel, This is so beautifully written. I love the canon bits, the rag and the watch. You have created a Jack and Ennis who are both broken and need each other, the embrace was gracefully drawn.. I'm so glad they found each other.

Oh, a ray of sunshine in this terrible obscurity their lives were ! ... So beautiful how Ennis' soul got so alive reaching to Jack's ! I wonder how Jack will receive all these - it's so much, and he needs it, but can he welcome it, is his heart able to open up after the ordeal he's been through ?!

This has been the most important chapter yet..Ennis made a choice to change his life. He did not consciously do it...but when he took Jack home, he brought another human being into his once lonely, cold, desolate home. I love his realization, after getting Jack home, and reflecting on what he did...that he needs Jack..and that Jack has given him some meaning...a reason to live...Your descriptions and imagery continue to delight me...even in this rather somber tale...I am looking forward to when Jack wakes up!! Zu der Story Absolution, wo Du mir ja heute glaube ich auch einen Kommentar hinterlassen hast: ich werde sie weiter schreiben - hab aber momentan keine Idee wie... ICh bin gerade ziemlich im RPS-Fieber und werde erst mal an Retrospective weiter schreiben, der Fortsetzung zu The Sequel.
