My Disney trip was...different. I went with a friend that slowly drove me nuts. But Dave is great and it is always a pleasure to be with a mountain man. I'm giving my less than one week spiel. That's right folks, a week from today I will be strolling around the Animal Kingdom. Everest, Kilimanjaro, Pizzafari...oh yes to Pizzafari. My brother is at M.I.T for the summer. He is going to be a teacher/counselor for a high school summer program up there. He called me yesterday and wanted the music for the Haunted Mansion. It turns out that he is teaching a lesson on light, and wants to use the ghost effect in the ballroom scene as a gripping way of teaching about reflection. ( Read more... )

I saw "An Inconvenient Truth" this weekend. For those of you that don't know what that is...Al Gore put together a movie warning us about the dangers of global warming. I have been participating in a training course since the end of the school year (the math in Georgia is changing, lost story!!!). I had the weirdest evening last night! I had made plans to see a friend of mine for dinner. We met at the Cheesecake Factory and had a nice dinner. Then, we went to see Over the Hedge which, despite not being a Disney film, was pretty good. Sadly, it was still only about 9 o'clock and we weren't about to go home so early on a Saturday night.
