So Hurricane Rita is the best thing to ever hit Georgia. Sure, we're not in the storm path, but our governor has decided to close schools on Monday and Tuesday to "conserve our resources". My family went to Newark, New Jersey this weekend for our cousin's wedding (on my mom's side). It was wonderful. First of all, Newark airport is across the river from NYC, so I got to see the entire NYC skyline (Empire State building, Statue of Liberty, etc.). So tonight is parent night at the ol' school. Parents are going through their students' schedules to meet all of their teachers and get a taste of what school life is like. So when I got home from work yesterday, I noticed that my hamster was not in its cage! I swear this hamster is Houdini reincarnated, for she has escaped that cage several times now.
