Hearing speculation about the blue melons responding to sound, Axel decided to try a different method in a different field. He arrived with his guitar in hands and, with no respect for the fact that he hadn't actually remembered how to use it, began playing and singing Johnny B. Goode loudly to the entire row.

His singing voice was fairly professional, but the guitar solo was a disaster.

The entire field was his audience, but the blue melons seemed the most alert, if melons were alert. (And by now, well, people were following their gut feelings like mad, so why not?) They each bobbed once slightly in the field, as if in applause.

No explosions, though, if that was what superstar Axel was asking of his fans.

Far from discouraged, Axel began a rendition of Rock and Roll All Nite.

The melons slowly stopped swaying. It was almost as if the blue melons were... expectant, somehow.

Axel immediately started into another song.

Other than slight annoyance at having a rickroll forced upon them, the melons did not react.

The next victim of Axel's guitar would be Bohemian Rhapsody.

Despite the total guitar-solo rape, Blue Melon #3 exploded at the conclusion of the song.

"WOOHOO! Take that, melons! How does it feel? How does the wrath of the Dark Hero feel?!?"

Suddenly, he realized that he had just remembered the phrase "Axel, the Dark Hero." He liked the ring of it.

...What the Hell was that?

That was Axel, the Dark Hero rocking a Queen song!

Sounded more like raping it.

Well, I don't think I remember how to play the guitar exactly, but it sounded okay to me!

Sol glared at Axel. Then, he picked up the red melons and, one-by-one, hucked them at the 'Dark Hero's' face.

And the red melons flew towards Axel... uh, they look kinda hard and heavy. Full of momentum, I'm sure.

Semi-fortunately for Axel, only one hit--seeing as it knocked him down and out of the path of the rest.
