But despite its proximity to the town, the forest quickly thickens, and this melon field sits in a perfect weedless square, looking odd against the wild bushes all around it. Komui was angry now. Not only had HIS opponent been destroyed; he was now covered in melon juice. He decided to take out his rage on green melon #5 by kicking it.

The melon hopes Komui doesn't mind having a stubbed toe or to. If it's capable of hoping.

Starting the whole routine over again, Komui once more attempted a makeshift bomb, this time of said green melon.

This attempt proves as successful as the last.

"How is this even POSSIBLE?!" Komui cried in rage, throwing the melon at the random wildlife that had gathered to watch him.

Komui is lucky that Memento Eden lacks a branch of PETA. However, the melon remains intact.

"I wonder how melons like coffee" he said, now beginning to get deranged ideas. He had a thermos of it with him and poured a little onto the melon, not wanting to waste the coffee, but still wanting to give the plan a shot.

The melon doesn't even look scalded.

In yet another fit of stupidity, Komui proceeded to bite the melon.

Hope he didn't bite it too hard, or he's going to need to see a dentist.

Komui was not amused. He this time attempted punching the melon.

No good. All Komui gets for his efforts is a sore knuckle.

"Ack!" he cried out in pain. He'd exhausted himself again, and collapsed, hugging the melon.

That...can't feel good with a whole melon.

He proceeded to sob onto the melon.

"Why don't you understand meeeeee?!" he wailed.

The melon seems to have given a tiny reaction to Komui's tears. However, it does not burst.
