Notes from the sickbed...
1) Sick. Yep, I called it last night. Have felt like crap all day. Thank the maker that has not extended to throwing up or other intestinal issues, just your typical "cold" symptoms plus fever (high for me was 101.5). I slept until after 9.30 which is practically unheard of for me these days. Also, I seem to have pink-eye in one eye which is very ( Read more... ) -
More observations: aka Life, the universe, and everything
1) Went to a yard sale this morning and came home with a gigantic braided rug for the partly finished room downstairs. It's got finished walls (though they're a bit ugly and patched) and painted concrete floors (which are worse than nothing because the paint is chipping everywhere). And why not more random observations?
1) Went to the local farmer's market with Max today and came home with a cucumber, a tomato, a small bag of sugar snap peas, and a pint of blueberries. Max was fascinated by the "magic beans" (snap peas) and ate several on the way home. Then both he and Robbie nibbled on them all day. I'm very happy that I can keep a bowl of fresh veggies out for ( Read more... ) -
Another day, more random observations!
I'm sort of lacking for adult conversation these days...so LJ it is!
1) J and I had a lovely morning outing. We stopped first at "ReStore", a sort of thrift store run by Habitat for Humanity that only stocks wooden furniture (i.e. nothing upholstered), doors, cabinetry, hardware, sinks, etc. Very cool. Jeff picked up a circular saw and a hacksaw ( Read more... ) -

The Dyson arrived! And it seems to work fine! (Perhaps a little tempermental on a couple of the buttons but I can deal with that). Hooray! There will be much vacuuming in my future ( Read more... ) -

The process of moving doesn't just mean moving from one town to another or one house to another. It means moving. Getting up and down when you'd rather remain collapsed. Moving boxes all over.
