She's tugged away, and for once, she doesn't protest, doesn't fight it. She lets herself be drug, one hand covering her face. Because he was-- he couldn't be dead. But he... he was. And now she was alone.
Distantly, she was aware of someone demanding answers, asking questions, begging for an explanation, but she answered them with silence and sat, staring, at a wall. Someone came in to tell her they'd patch up her arm shortly. She didn't care. Didn't matter. He left her.

Getting shot hurts really bad.
Laying there, bleeding, isn't particularly fun, either. Panting and pressing a hand to the lower right space on her abdomen, just to the right of her bellybutton, and pretending she's not crying. She'd call out for help, but she can't really find words. Is that shock? Is she going into shock? She might be. She's not sure. She can't focus, because...
"Aaaaaaahaaowwwwwwwww--"

He skids in, falling to his knees beside Rose, clicking his fingers for his med kit. "Rose, look at me. Can you hear me, love?" He says, trying to gain her attention.
"Foreign body in the abdomen. It looks pretty well in there. I'll attempt to remove it before we gate back to Atlantis." Carson says to his helper. "Lets get her lying down."

She gives a grin that might actually mostly be a pained wince. She... might be a smidge delirious. "You called me love. That's weird. You're a bit weird-- ah god!"
A sharp stab of pain rushes through her, and she curls in on herself, lips parted. Getting shot.
Hurts really really really bad.

"Okay, Rose, listen to me. I'm going to remove the bullet, okay? You'll be as right as rain in no time." He assures her in a loud, confident voice to make sure it gets through the delerium.
"This is going to hurt, but I'm going to need you not to move around too much, okay?"

She pauses, and then her eyes widen. "Wait, hang on a second, you said bullet, as in, pulling it out, as in... pulling out a bullet right here while I'm here. I'm here and you're here, in a field, and you're tugging a bullet out. That's not good. That's not a good idea. You shouldn't do that, should you? That's-- oh, blimey, please don't kill me. You've got brilliant hair, did you know? It's very spikey. Hngngggggg--"
Her chest jerks a bit, her face contorts with pain as a little sob comes out. She doesn't squirm like last time, though, because he asked her to stay still.

The bullet needed to be removed. He could see the metal in there, he'd get it out quickly, stitched back up and checked out properly when they were back at Atlantis, and the Genii weren't firing at them. He slowly inserts the calipers to retrieve the bullet.

And then he inserted the calipers, and she threw her head back, a long, low sound escaping her lips. "Ahhhhhaahaa--"

"Pressure." He orders, dropping it into the metal tray as a marine moves in to put pressure on the wound. Carson busies himself with bringing out a wad of bandages.
"You're doing great, Rose."
Reply
She eyes the tray containing the hunk of metal, then moves to eye him. He was in the zone. It was... fascinating. Or it would be, if she wasn't bleeding on the forest floor. "You're brilliant, you are. That... ow, blimey, not so hard, I-- I'm getting a bit woozy."
Probably the blood loss.

"Someone get the gate dialled back to Atlantis. We have wounded incoming."
He looks down at Rose and smiles. "Still glad you came with us, aye?"
Reply
And then he's there and smiling, and she grins back despite the pain. "Aye," she agrees, doing a soft imitation of his Scottish lilt. "'Course I am."

Carson walks beside her, still keeping pressure on the wound. "Hang tight, we'll get you home in a jiffy."
