Colette had never heard of Oktoberfest... or of festivals magically appearing overnight with no warning, but she was no doubt grateful for the sudden change in pace. To be honest, she'd been feeling a little under the weather lately. As much as she loved going to school, practicing with Kurogane, and working at the cafe, it felt like she had no free time for anything besides a quick nap before she was off again ( ... )

It was somewhere between the sword-eater and the jugglers that Tear happened upon her blonde co-worker. The melodist offered Colette a polite smile, still seeming somehow serious and on-guard despite her obvious attempts at being friendly.

"Good evening, Colette. It's a good thing that this festival appeared so suddenly. This way everyone can take a short reprieve before returning to their duties. Working at the cafe has been especially tiring lately, don't you think?"

It was more of a rhetorical question than anything. The cafe was fairly busy, and Tear had probably noted at least one or two of the Chosen's yawns.

It wasn't his first time down this way since the event started, but this time, Eliwood had company. He already knew the general locations of some of the main attractions -- the food vendors, the carnival games, the performers -- but he wasn't going to be making the decisions on this visit. He was here escorting a beautiful lady, and he was set on letting her decide what to do.

Ninian marveled at all the sights, sounds, and smells that greeted her as she walked side-by-side with Eliwood. There were so many things to do, and he had insisted that she make the decisions today. With all the commotion, she found it a difficult task to pick just one thing to do first.

"What would you suggest?" she asked Eliwood, after a long moment of thought. "There's so much going on, ah... it's hard to decide."

Eliwood considered for a moment. He expected Ninian to be most interested in the performers, but decided that it would be ideal to save the best for last. That still left a few other options, but then it occurred to him that the festival would likely be more enjoyable with food.

"Would you like to get something to eat first?" Eliwood asked. "We can look around while we're eating."

"Ah, that is a good idea... I've not eaten yet today," Ninian admitted sheepishly. She took a few steps forward, following her nose to the nearest food vendor, and glanced over her shoulder to favor Eliwood with a shy smile. "Shall we, then...?"

Ginko wasn't looking for anyone in particular at the festival. So many friends of his had disappeared, he'd accepted this as a chance to meet new acquaintances-- but now wasn't the time for that, apparently. Why was Hibari wandering around with such a huge pile of food...in the middle of a huge crowd? He didn't even look like he was planning on biting anyone. Ginko approached him, just to make sure this was, indeed, Hibari; what if a new magical phenomenon had developed? Another body-switch event?

"You came," Ginko pointed out to Hibari, just in case the teen hadn't noticed he wasn't back at his apartment.

Snap, went a camera in Ginko's head in the split second when Hibari turned around. He couldn't stop from smirking at Hibari's reaction. What the heck was that? It's just me.

"Hnn. That's considerate of you," Ginko replied, stepping close enough to check out Hibari's pile of food.

"...Only thing you're missing is fried chicken. Come on," Ginko said, motioning Hibari to follow him to the appropriate food stall.

Terra didn't like crowds, not at all. They made her incredibly nervous and uncomfortable, and since remembering her Esper half those feelings had doubled. She avoided the park for a few days, even though she knew something was going on. Eventually, curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't stay away any longer.

She kept to herself, slowly walking through the park and taking in the sights. The various performers caught her attention easily, and she was content to stand back and watch them. Their acts were almost magical; she couldn't help but wonder how they were able to do such things without some sort of supernatural aid. Quietly fascinated, she watched a man actually swallow a sword - surely there was some kind of magic involved in such an act!

Athrun happened to be walking by, a bottle of cola in his hand. He was walking around and drinking the cola as a way of re-energizing himself after a day of work. At the same time, he was looking for people he knew, and he spotted a familiar green ponytail among the crowd surrounding the performers.

"Hey!" Athrun called to Terra as he got closer. "Interested in the performers, are you?"

She was so absorbed in the performers that she didn't even notice Athrun until he was next to her. She jumped, then smiled at him. "Athrun! You startled me. I guess I was too distracted." She continued to curiously watch the man that had swallowed the sword. "What kind of magic did he use, do you think?"

"Magic?" The concept of sword-eaters was not unfamiliar to Athrun, though he doubted whether he had ever actually seen one in action before. "I don't know how he does it, but magic isn't involved. It's some sort of parlor trick."

The few festivities that Pent had thus far been able to enjoy here had been rather pleasant if not simply interesting. It was nice to actually be able to mingle in such an informal setting since what little he could recall of events back home had been fancy and mostly reserved.

"I wonder if she's here..." he mused, seeking out one person in particular aside from taking a look at the decorated surroundings and the enthusiastic entertainers. "I hope that Erk comes out as well- perhaps then we can all sight-see together."

Louise was absolutely charmed by the festival. Everything was so beautiful and lively, from the decorations, to the vendors, and especially the performers. She happily took in the sights and sounds, all the while keeping a lookout for a very specific and important person.

Not finding him for a while, she had begun to worry a bit - perhaps he was too absorbed in his research and studies to notice the festival? Louise knew just how likely a possibility that was. She was about to head back to the library when she saw him amidst the crowd.

Her smile brightened considerably as she made her way toward Pent, overjoyed to see that he had arrived of his own accord after all.

How he would have scolded himself if he'd missed her, he'd already come close to it once before. Not this time.

"Louise!" He smiled brightly as he saw her then, eagerly weaving his way through the crowd to meet her. Once he was near enough to her, he'd take up her hand. "I thought I might not find you in this sea of people. How thankful I am to be proven otherwise!"

"Lord Pent, nothing could keep me from finding you, least of all a crowd such as this!" She rushed toward him, reaching for his hand without thinking, as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long...?"
