I wrote this journal entry in 2004. Funny how damn appropriate it is again.
Next time round can we change the music, the routine is getting a bit boring. Even better, could I never have to go through this soul-search head-fuck ever again! -
Everybody needs a Pinny!
For Christmas I made my Grandma some aprons as she is still a fully-fledged apron wearer and I made Pete-the-Minion 'Pete's Pirate Pinny' because which 6'2" chef does not need a skull & crossbones pinny?

You know how last week I ranted on about how I was informed about my lack of job.... well it just got compounded... Apparently what they failed to tell me was that when they demanded I responded in writing rapidly... I was starting my notice period!!!!! A brave new world appearing over the horizon?
Well, as predicted, the news came down yesterday which I should have heard at the end of October. I am/ was first choice for the last remaining Administrator post in Devon after the savage cuts. Panic!
Have just spent the morning researching what jobs are out there right now, in preparation for probably being told next week I don't have a job. I feel sick and panicked now.
EDITso I go to the next job on the to-do list which is getting a new phone to replace my decrepit old Nokia and that turns out to be worse than looking for a job. I am now ( Read more... ) -

Am informed that in 13 weeks my job will not exist.
Tuesday
Walk slap bang into my father and stepmother in town. Somewhere I never want them to be.
Wednesday
Discover all hard work put into getting new project open is pretty much pointless because someone better paid than me for a lot less hours is completely inept

Cunning Plans afoot
Last week got thrown into complete chaos due to the ongoing staffing shortages at work. It was nobodies fault but there is no spare when someone is ill. On Tuesday I ended up working 26 hours straight and was rougher than a badgers bits afterwards.
