This left me spellbound. I wonder what kind of man, a possesive controlling ghost becomes. Love can't temper that kind of personality. Then again Max might be alive and well to fight for his soul another day. (Hugs)Indigo

Thank you! And yes, I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be Mr. Romance. Doesn't seem likely that this will end well. But it might be sexy. ;)

That there is a great line. I resolve to use it in a real life situation sometime within this year.

Max didn't see that coming. I loved it. I slide ghosts out of client's energy fields all the time, and the clients faces physically change, like they're someone else. I don't burn anything! We must get together some time and tell ghost stories.

Interesting! I wasn't thinking much about the physicality of it. Maybe for Max, if anything like that happens, it'll be a slow burn...

Wow. Talk about a co-dependent relationship! It might not be all candy and flowers, but at least they already know what to expect from each other. Is it wrong that I don't feel sorry for Max? I mean, he was a good guy, but a lot of guys have that paladin urge when the damsel is not in any distress at all. It would all have gone better had he asked if she wanted to be free. Then again, I guess he got what he wanted - to be with her - even if not at all the way he expected.

LOL no kidding! Totally co-dependent. That's what happens, I guess, when a ghost follows you absolutely everywhere...

And yeah, Max assumed too much. His intentions were in the right place, but yep, he didn't have permission or anything. ASK next time, dude. Use your words!

". . . knowing he should go join the crowd of football dudes or the nerd squad - whichever are his people. . . " This line totally conjured high school lunchroom images for me. :)

Max dead or displaced? I vote displaced - and how many fun places the story could go from there.

Hahah, good. My high school was cliquey like that, but not in a very BAD way. You DID belong wherever you were, ya know?

I guess the dead/displaced question has everything to do with what you think about what death IS and how our souls work. Hehe. Complicated! But probably displaced is true. For now. Bwahahaha!

I started reading this story and didn't realize right away that it was a story but I thought Tessa was blogging. I was thinking "What? She has a ghost having a picnic at her house?" That is how real these stories are when Tessa writes. Great work!

LOL AWESOME. I would not mind a ghost to have picnics with, so long as he or she wasn't keen on possessing my other (living) guests...

Thank you! What a compliment!
