It is embarassing that it has taken me two years to post to this journal, but here I am now. Hey, everybody, my kids are in college now! Not really. Well then, I must pace myself. No sense blowing all my creative energy out in one post.

We made it to the united states and now we have unloaded all our posessions out of cardboard boxes. This move has eaten all of our electronics: somehow disabled the iPod, toasted the computer's hard drive, lost the Palm pilot, and buggered the DVD player's laser reader, resulting in intermittent failure to read random DVD's, but left every 10 ( Read more... )

Strangely appropriate, as we are getting ready to move to the DC area this summer. Does anyone have anything to say about Silver Springs? We are thinking about inflicting us on it.

This weekend my husband and his friend did the Okinawa marathon, which has something like 10,000 registrants. He finished it, which was great, because last year it rained something awful (tropical storms are the worst) and he had to quit because of his feet, the details of which I will spare the internet.
