The Chicago Winters just DON'T let go. Yesterday I was very happy to wear flip flops to school and today I had to wear a sweater...on my trip to Kinkos today which was over the span of 20 minutes...it started to rain...then it sleeted...THEN there were snow flurries! WTF?!
I WANT THE SPRING TO COME AND STAY!!!

So I was talking with my voice teacher, Judy today and my voice has changed even more since the last time anyone's heard it. She thinks I should dabble in dramatic soprano rep like Ms Schrock and I had experimented with my last year at SLU. Summer got us tickets to go see RENT last night because it's in Chicago til the 15th. If I hadn't seen the movie first and developed an attachment to the characters I probably wouldn't have liked it...the storyline just didn't seem to be told well...it didn't draw me in...AND a lot of the performers didn't have good diction. The Beethoven 9 was great! I LOVED doing the solo for that piece. Having a 100 voiced choir and a full orchestra making music with you is an indescribable feeling. The audience was on their feet applauding and shouting BRAVO before the last chords finished resounding. I LOVE MY WORK!!!! For the good and the bad...I love it. I don't know why I have that song from "Team America" stuck in my head! LOL Anyway...yesterday was great. Summer and I had a day together and saw the new movie, "V for Vendetta" I highly recommend seeing it. It was stellar!
