How does one "learn" how to play roulette exactly? You just PICK!

I know you just "pick", but I had no idea how it worked or even HOW to pick! There's all kinds of "strategy" and ways of betting. My strategy involves sticking with the same numbers and watching my money fly away.

I kind of figured it out, it took a while but I ended the night up about 3x what I put in! It's a game that deals with a lot of luck, but you can bet on so many different things that you end up with really good odds.

Ching chong ding dong, old Asian lady! I'm digging the you + chess thing! I've always wanted to learn how to play too (just as one of those "skills to have in your back pocket" kind of things) but it looks way intimidating. So will I see you battling homeless dudes in a park anytime soon?

Chess seems totally intimidating but it's really easy to learn; becoming good is a whole other story. I thought it was going to take forever to memorize which pieces moved where, but it took like 5 minutes. From there it's kind of like playing an instrument though, because different pieces work together and you have to figure out ways to develop a rhythm. There's all kinds of tactics and strategy and, like baseball, I love the whole METAPHOR FOR LIFE aspect.
