Also, I've been listening to The Knife a lot lately. Which is somewhat frustrating because half of their songs are just objectively unlikable. But they also have a bunch which are just, well. They're swell.

The Jetty and I
This past weekend was awesome! Went and saw Paper Heart, had some awesome sushi, saw Away We Go, went down to the Bahula's place for a fantastic little party, got a Del Taco (x 2 actually), went on a 17 mile bike ride with Joe and Thomas, and ran around on the longest jetty the world has ever known ( Read more... ) -
Things that I've been called other than my name
Over the years I've had a lot of people not really understand my name. This usually only happens when people encounter my name for the first time. Whether they hear me or someone else say it, or if they see it written down. I always, without fail find these moments hilarious. These past few days have been nothing but good, aside from one bittersweet mistep. James got laid off from his job at Entrepeneur, but he has been hoping for a change anyhow and I wish him nothing but the best for his future. While I'm sad that he's without work for the moment, I'm glad to see him leave a job that he absolutely loathed. This will ( Read more... ) -
Why I don't mind my commute so much
So as you probably know I spend about 2 hours getting to work and about 2 hours getting home. It's 62 miles each way. It's kind of shitty but isn't really all that bad because I work in Topanga, which is an absurdly relaxing place to be. Also, I work at my boss' house. He's got an office set up here that's slightly separated from the main house. ( Read more... )
