i think that i had mentioned in another entry a while ago that the whole not-having-a-real-job thing was starting to get to me. i've only been back from taiwan for two weeks, and it's already hitting me again. like i said before, my private lessons are fine, but there's no possibility of me getting a full-time job because everyone wants someone ( Read more... )

Have you got your plans sorted out? You will have NO problem filling that extra day... But let me know if you have any specific questions. The ruins just north of Bangkok (Ayuthaya) are well worth seeing and a good day trip. But if you're seeing the ruins in the north than you probably shouldn't bother because I've heard they are much better up there.

i actually just went back and read through your journals from your time in thailand. they made me really excited about traveling! you mentioned a couple different islands you visited, but did you ever get to samui? if so, how was it compared to the other ones?

Good, you should be excited!! We didn't get to Samui in that trip. Because it has an airport it tends to be much more packed and touristy than the other islands, and by that point we were looking for quieter. But I would still love to check it out one day too; I've heard good things about it! I'm actually just finishing my Thailand scrapbook (yes, more than 2 years later) and I'm wishing like crazy I could go back...
