Wow, so many options! Though nerve-wracking to feel unsettled, it's exciting to have your options open before you. You know that somehow it will come together, so it may just be one of those times where you have to go with the flow... I just can't believe that you haven't gone home in all this time-- you are defitely a stronger and more independant spirit than I!! Do you still see any GES people around?

i do still hang out with some ges people... aaron (the ex-teacher from ise) is one of my close friends, and i see erina (an old manager) sometimes. in may maki is getting married, so i'll be going to nagoya to see that, and alex will be coming back to japan for it as well. and i still meet up with old students sometimes, so ges served as a pretty good way of making friends!

That's cool that you still have people to hang out with! Congrats to Maki for getting married; she and her boyfriend were so cute together when Kyle and I met them. Is Will still around there as well?

well, I definitely envy your travel opportunities, but I can relate to the frustration with future-related ambiguities. It definitely sucks. I'm sorry to hear about Jeremiah's grad school results, but the whole process is such a crapshoot that sometimes it's hard to tell what schools and admissions committees want. good luck to both of you with figuring things out.

thanks for the good wishes. i'm mostly disappointed because it'll be a year longer until i can reunite with all of my friends, but hopefully jeremiah will improve his application enough that we can move to new york next fall!
