Today I discovered that a pile of sandbags looks a lot better when they have Dot3 bump mapping than when they have regular vertex lighting. It's because the texture on them is black where the sandbags are supposed to "meet", so adding that bump map in really gives it some nice detail. The effect is lessened on flat surfaces, but on brick walls ( Read more... )
