Watched The Breakup - the movie is not good, and not particularly funny....but damn, did it make me miss Chicago.

I am often surprised at myself lately. Being here for the past 7 months or so has changed me so much and at the same time I have managed to remain remarkably the same. My brother left this morning, and my dad leaves today... I'm sad, and I wish they could stay, but it is a little exhausting to try and entertain people for a week straight. I don't miss work though. My dad and Mark are in town....I'm so glad they are here. It is so nice to be around people who really know and love me. I can't even explain it. I spent a lot of time with them today and I'm looking forward to the rest of the week as well. when you're already sort of bummed, it's a really good idea to look back on journal archives from only a few months ago when you were really happy and in love....and it was mutual. sooooo smart.

Went to the Disney Concert Hall downtown last night with Todd. Pretty cool deal, with our student IDs we got tickets for 10 bucks apiece. The ticket guy didn't seem to care if they are from Indiana and are obviously old. We saw a baroque music ensemble perform with a guest contralto, works from Bach and his contemporaries. Tired today...yesterday was fun, but long. We got to dress up in costume at work, which sounded cool until I realized that those shoes weren't suitable for serving.
