Disability is usually less than one's ordinary gross income, but my financial advisor friend told me it's not taxed. So at least there's that, though it's probably small comfort since you're not in a super high tax bracket.

*hugs*

Actually, that's great - we're in a ridiculous tax bracket (at least until baby's actually here). I'll just about break even compared to my take-home pay.

You can save a few bucks....generations of babies have been successfully nursed without benefit of a nursing stool! Can't say that I even know what one is, which I know dates me. A supportive pillow in your lap is all you need, and odds are you already have a few of those!

As far as the finances, you're thinking ahead, which is great. It's always stressful, taking that initial salary hit, but it's temporary. While you want to be prepared for every contingency, it sounds like some of your worries are about more remote issues that might never happen, or at least might not be as bad as your mind is predicting! Try to relax and believe that everything will fall into place. It will! :-)

Also from experience...brillo hair is short-lived, thank goodness! And you may not lose as much of your beautiful thick hair as you think, either!
