2 weeks now of being flat veggie.
Feels as wholesome as it used to, but I always feel half-hungry. Perhaps I need more protein in my diet...the thought of meat seems to fill said hunger in an odd way. Or maybe I'm just still longing for it.

Perhaps you need less pansy+bitch/moan in your brain.
The idea that worrying about your diet is something you have to do if you become vegetarian scares a lot of people away from it, and the truth is that you really don't have to worry much at all.
I never think about the shit I put in my body, and I've been vegetarian for 24 years and am still here, aren't I?
Two weeks without meat is nothing, there's no way you'd be feeling sick already, as long as you eat decent quantities of whatever it is you're eating. Pasta and potatoes are what I live by, despite the "high starch content" people bitch about, I manage to stay pretty healthy and fat, and sometimes I'll go a couple days without food here and there. I eat very sporadically, you can too, and still be perfectly healthy. Just worry less, and fix problems if they emerge, when they emerge. Back in the 1950's they called that "being a man."

Fair enough. I'm not feeling ill by any means, just never full.

(I'd make a plan with you, but I got back in the country less than a week ago and I'm still capital B Broke, jobless, and transport challenged. Therefore, I'm totally not plan-girl just yet. That said, if you want to wait a few weeks and make an honest plan to take a trip somewhere, things are doable.)
