I've gotten a handful of cards/letters in the mail lately from friends and family... people who I wouldn't typically expect to send a card or letter (because who does these days, really?). It's so nice to receive thoughtful things in the mail, just small hand-written tokens for you to know that they're thinking of you and are happy for you

after a markedly stressful christmas, i made the statement that it takes so much f*ing trouble to get home for shit, and i already feel so far away, that we might as well just move to new zealand and buy a house. and though you and i are not real life friends or anything, you did cross my mind as that statement was not poorly recieved by boyfriend, and has been echoing around a bit lately...shrug.

i love hearing about the towns and spots you go to. it makes me all nostalgic and romanticizy. :)
