Stitches West!
I had a great time at Stitches West on Saturday. The vender market was overwhelming! I saw so many beautiful yarns and luscious fiber. I am afraid I succumbed to more than I had intended.

Music and fiber
We went to see the Whoreshoes last night at the Iron Springs Pub. The music was great, bluegrass with attitude. They are an all-female band. Everybody sings and it seems like everybody plays 25 instruments. Check them out!

I have started a pair of socks using some of the hand-painted yarn I've made recently. Here is a picture of the toe in a bed of volunteer arugula.

Still Dyeing - Painted Yarn
Here is some of the yarn I have dyed recently using natural dyes. I ended up getting some Cormo yarn and some Cormo-Alpaca yarn. I have 4 of each of the colorways. It was expensive yarn, but it it is really wonderful and absolutely delicious. Both are from a family farm that grows, processes, and spins the wool.
