The house search continues! Life has been a little ridiculous lately with school ending, our landlords renting out our house without telling us and just assuming we were moving out of state even though we told them we weren't for sure, moving our entire house into a storage pod, and temporarily moving in with my parents. Last week I introduced my favorite photographer, Francesca Woodman, to my photography class. We are entering the last part of the school year so I am giving out final projects and the kid's is self portraits. She is a Colorado born artist who suffered from depression and committed suicide when she was 22. I had a lot of interesting reactions ( Read more... )

I recently won a travel scholarship to travel to Costa Rica this summer and do some school building community service and forestry/sustainability education. So excited! Yesterday I was poking around in the dirt I noticed little blades of grass starting to poke their heads up. Usually this time of year I am anxious and fell like I am pulling a 100 lbs weight just trying to make it to spring. This year is different for some reason. Life is so crazy sometimes. It has been insane lately. Today another teacher and I took a group of 60 kids to the Denver Art Museum. It always scares me to take a group of kids to Denver and then set them free and hope they make it back to the bus when they are told to.
