there's a little program called qjoypad that lets you map joystick/gamepad input to keyboard/mouse commands. You can make any bindings you like. I have ctrl, alt, shift, tab, arrows, and full-mouse capabilities without sitting up at my computer. I have plans to make a set of bindings with movie-watching commands on it. Whee!
