I think those are adorable! I love fingerless mitts, I'd be all over those if I came across them.

Could you make fleece mittens with a pocket in them to hold those little packets you can buy at Wal-mart that provide instant warmth? I would think those would be popular as cold as it gets up where you live.

They vary, but I'm guessing about 3" x 4", give or take.

I have a very cold office - the thermostat is directly behind a computer so it gets heated all day. *eyeroll* I was wearing knit fingerless gloves last week and found them very handy!!

As a consumer, I'd want the gloves in elbow length or longer. Because I am a drama queen. :D
