After four and a half years of neglect, the Dew House finally has an arch over its entrance. isogon, sir_prise and I built it on Friday. We also found that when we turned off all the lights in the basement except for the green Christmas lights, it made us all feel dizzy to be in the Dew House. Life has been hectic but fun lately. I work as an assistant in a Cognition and Brain lab, and on Wednesday one of the grad students needed help running an experiment. Her experiment studied the use of acronyms and words in sentences. The subjects were handed a few pages with incomplete sentences and they were instructed to fill in the blanks ( Read more... )
