It's been a really tough week. Seeing and hearing about Mother's Day affected me way more than I ever expected.

I'm tired of being alone with myself
And I'm tired of being with anyone else.

My friends' daughter had a baby several days ago. She's totally excited about being a grandma, but doesn't want it to call her that (she doesn't look like a grandma). So all day she kept asking me if I wanted to hold the baby, and I kept saying no. Just cause I'm a female, doesn't make me maternal...at least not towards human babies anyway ( Read more... )

Well I was away for two weeks and just can't seem to recover from the end part in Vegas. Kory and I went to visit my brother in Georgia. I drove up and back. It's been a month already since my mom died. It seems like just a few days ago really. I only started to actually go into mourning about a week ago. My mom passed away on the 16th. Of course I knew it was coming, but it's still somewhat of a shock. It was so awful to see her suffer so much in the last month. Hospice was here around the clock for the last week.
