Creative peeps - help!
So for a final project a partner and I are making a board game for children who have recently been diagnosed with diabetes and their families and friends to play. It's gonna be cheap and easy to produce ( in the spirit of Cheapass Games ) and each kid could get their own copy ( for free! ), etc ( Read more... ) -

So as midterm time approaches, I have 3-ish semester projects that need attention. 2 more exams in stats, and the final isn't cumulative, so we're all good there, just need to keep plugging away at it, but frankly I find it quite enjoyable. Buttercup came to visit!
Auntie Buttercup came to visit for the weekend, ostensibly to renew some visa/passport thing, but really we know that she needed her Z fix. :) It's good to have her back hanging with us, but of course makes us miss Auntie Bubbles even more. They'll both be here in December, and that'll be a good thing - whole "family" back together again ( Read more... ) -
And that's a fault of mine I'm working on...
We've been in C'ville nearly 2 months now, and it's definitely starting to feel like home. There are things about A2 that I miss, but mostly it's the people, and one of them is in New Haven, anyway, so even going back to visit the ol' hood in November won't do much for that... but there are a few peeps still around I'd like to see ( Read more... ) -

3 truths and 3 lies. Cos it's easy. And my brain is fried - not cos I'm a doctoral student but because my 14 month old was shrieking non-stop this evening, for several hours. Ok, maybe she stopped. We got our STUFF!
It's amazing how, when your movers are gonna be 9 days late, you are *that much more* excited when your stuff shows up a day early, aka only 8 days late. ;)
There are boxes everywhere, but we have a couch, table, Z's high chair, beds, etc. It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood. More soon, with pics! -
Last day at ITD!
Tomorrow is, for all intents and purposes, my last day at ITD. Err, ITCS. ;) I've been here full time since July 10, 1997. Not quite ten years, so no little Tiffany's gift for me, and I'm OK with that. I've been doing the webmaster thing since sometime in 2000-ish... Gosh who knows where the time all done and gone to. for the record, i do miss my a2 peeps. so don't let the following rave in praise of c'ville make any of you feel any less well loved and missedso we hear a knock at the door and are immediately suspicious of course as we hardly know anyone in C'ville yet. C'ville!
Well, we made it, and we're now the proud new owners of a house in C'ville :) We have no stuff yet, but we have keys! Bubbles and Buttercup are here with us - we'll drop 'em off in Richmond tomorrow for the flight back to A2. It's been great having them along for the ride.
