7th Invasion

[Today after school, Squid Girl can be found bustling about in the front yard of 452 Stone Street.  She's got the hose out, and is diligently spraying jets of water at the front door of the house.  Every so often, she fills up a nearby bucket and throws the water at one of the windows.]

"C'mon, freeze!  What am I doing wrong!"

What are you trying to do?

I'm constructing an ingenious defensive shield by using the power of nature itself!

Out of water? It's not going to freeze immediately.

It'll probably freeze overnight, but it won't be much.

Not enough to keep enemies out?

Not really. Wouldn't you have locks for that?

"But an ice shield is so much cooler!"

If you really want one, you'll have to freeze the water into blocks first and then stack them in front of your house. If you just let the water drip as it freezes, you'll only get icicles.

But then couldn't someone just move the blocks away?

True, or they could be knocked down.

That wouldn't be a very good defense at all, then.

It wouldn't, but even if you did find a block of ice large enough to put in front of your house, it'll only be useful until it began to melt.

Probably not. Are you that concerned about someone breaking into your house?
