Has anyone ever told you to "just be yourself"?

I'm the youngest by far of four daughter. I spent my entire childhood and early adulthood being told things: what to wear, what to learn, where to work, who to be. As a result, I never learned to decide those things for myself.

I don't think I CAN "be myself". I'm not sure I've ever met her.

Is 35 too young for hot flashes? I think I might be having hot flashes...or "personal tropical vacations", as I've heard them called.

If so, they suck.

I'm updating mainly because I haven't in awhile. So much has been happening with school and the house that every time I get a little down time, I just like to stay in my hidey-hole and play some games on Pogo.

I've been neglecting you and I'm sorry.

We had another health scare with the kitties this week. Got home from the folks on Sunday and the Siamese kitten was being lethargic and refusing to eat. We thought she was just mad, but when she didn't improve, we took her to the VCA on Monday ( Read more... )

 WELCOME TO THE WORLD, LITTLE EMILY!!!!!!

 So I flew to Colorado this weekend to see some friends.  It was mostly fun, a little bizarre (people having tantric sex in the pool at the Indian Hot Springs kinda freaked me out), but I have to laugh at myself a little for one thing.

We went to Reno this weekend.

We arrived home Sunday night hoping that the cats were alright and that the house was relatively intact.  Here's what we found:

1.  Cats' recirculating water dish had a fuzzy catnip ball in it and brown water.  We figure it had been in there a couple of days, just long enough to make a nice strong catnip tea.
