You detailed his feelings of abandonment so well, a slow, inevitable progression. Poor Sammy, being left out. But I love their relationship here and that it has SUCH a great ending. Dean and Cas trying to explain that they need him--that they want him--was so wonderful I read it through twice. Awwww.

I like that but considering all everything Dean and Cas put Sam through by their own obliviousness, I hope they did a lot more sucking up! Sam deserved a bit more of them feeling bad, lol!! They never should have abandoned him like that in the club. If other people thought of Cas and Dean as the couple and that Sam was the third wheel, then Cas and Dean are definitely not doing something right ;P

My thoughts were that it was a mixture between Dean and Cas being oblivious and giving Sam what they thought he wanted - some space. And Sam pulling away into his own head because of his hell-issues and Dean and Cas pulling back.
I tried to portray that they had gotten past their issues and sorted out th relationship balances in the last part. I didn't the muse or the time to explore their reconciliations more fully.

Awww this was so cute! I felt bad for Sammy, and I loved how Dean and Cas went on explaining how they needed him, it made me feel all fluttery.

God, I love this so much. Honestly, this is in my top 5 favorite fanfics, and I've been reading them for over 10 years. This fanfic made me read all of your other Supernatural stories. Amazing. Just. Yes. God, especially the one where that kid is dared to go into their house...
